surfer jim - 1-23-2006 at 08:11 PM

Speaking about races....I read on RACE-DEZERT where someone has posted a pre-run group event for late October....the race goes to La Paz this year.....looks like an interesting trip.....anybody else seen this?.....would you go?...

as done in 2004, SA off road support and travel will hop the race Ensenada to la paz with likely stops at San Quintin, BOLA, Gonzaga, Sand-one neeko for nite TT action.:cool:

Sat noche following race's finish friday, the victory party for DP racing will be repeating itself at my digs en mulege.;D:wow:

San Quintin and Gonzaga??? It would be one or the other on a La Paz run as these both are on opposite sides of the peninsula on north-south roads.

I do hear they are doing the traditional run to La Paz, however.

"[capt. mike has an airplane]"

That's cheating.

reasons to stop at san quintin during the race....

1. it's fun, brunch at Ceilito lindo
2. i can
3. others like to too
4. may have to pee before i get to gonzaga!
5. re stock the cooler for the action at gonzaga and/or BOLA!!
6. have 20 hours to kill!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ah so... when you say 'stops along the way', you are not talking about the Baja 1000 racers... 10-4!

Mike will you be full on the return trip home ? Thanks Paul

TMW - 1-24-2006 at 05:47 PM

OK, I see the plan. Paul's going to race to La Paz and get me to bring his bike back while he parties and flys back with Capt. Mike

tunaeater - 1-24-2006 at 06:00 PM

Great idea TW...Thanks for sharing it. Sounds like a great plan. If you want you can get your brother to drive home and come with us...Tom will you go to La Paz for the race ?

capt. mike - 1-24-2006 at 06:13 PM

ha! yes DK, you got it right!
Paul and TW - everything is "up in the air"....so to speak... till i get committed compadres signed up.

1st come 1st served but my host teams DP Racing and Ragland Racing have priority. Wives stay home......:(
anyway, all are welcome at mi casa sat noche for the fiesta grande following the race.:D

TMW - 1-25-2006 at 08:21 AM

I don't have any hard plans yet other than following the race and helping where I can. Paul, I can make room to bring your bike back if you need me to. Capt. Mike's fiesta grande offer sounds good too.

tunaeater - 1-25-2006 at 09:14 AM
