Spring Break in Baja?

Sallysouth - 3-19-2006 at 09:25 PM

O.K.,I know this has been discussed already but why are the airfares so high for the end of March thru April? Anyone have an answer or two? I'm trying to get back down there without breaking the bank!! Thanks, Sally

Simply a product of supply and demand. The weather at this time is as near perfect as it gets and folks often have breaks that allows them to travel...

I can vouch for the near perfect weather.
Sally, have you tried Am West through Phoenix...not exactly on the way but sometimes cheaper. Might be a time to use some frequent flyer miles to reduce the price.

Am West has the best flight plan for me,altho they all have stops and plane changes. No prob there.Prices are decent too! Thanks for the tip,and maybe we will meet up this time!

Sally you definitely owe me that beer now:biggrin:
Glad to help. I really thought that it was a long shot(hey, sometimes they come in, eh?)

America West's price for a Los Cabos round trip has whizzed up to around $600 US temporarily--I don't remember the exact dates--and this is because of Spring Break, the ticket agent told me. Batten down the hatches, Judy!

Yep Lera!i didn't book because of med reasons! I just got a RT for $233,Lax to Cabo, tax and fees included! Not bad, since I have miles I never used from last Nov .See ya Judy(I hope)..Sally

Aero Mexico had a $300.00 RT fare out of San Diego but maybe not during Spring Break.
