Since it mentions 1800 acres at Loreto Bay, that leaves only the area north of the Whale's Inn ?
Anybody ??djh - 3-23-2006 at 08:21 AM
Do I hear Skeet asking: "Where will the water come from, and who will pay?"
Who forgot to lock the gate???

That's a pretty good question...do I dare ask, given the Villa Groups history in that news release, that we're going to get time shares in Loreto?????backninedan - 3-23-2006 at 09:44 AM
Our current water pressure is just a trickle, has been for the three years I have lived here. Unless they come up with alternative water sources, I
just dont see how it can work. This includes the construction under way at Loreto ghetto.wilderone - 3-23-2006 at 10:08 AM
Ha!! Should wreak havoc with the LB plan.
Re Villa Group's Cabo units:
"Villa La Estancia is the only ownership opportunity on the beach on Cabo San Lucas Bay in Cabo San Lucas. Very close attention is paid to the lush
tropical landscaping, waterfalls, reflection ponds and swimming pools to insure the best of the best to its owners. Underground parking, Fiber Optic
Lines, Business Center, Gymnasium and Medical Services are but a few of the amenities that await you as an ow
The Co-ownership is for the client that is more interested in buying an alternative to a second home instead of Full Ownership or a timeshare. Both
Full and Co-Ownership offer the lock off capabilities that provide each Villa with excellent rental and use options. This amenity makes for a sound
investment in the highly profitable Cabo San Lucas Rental Market. Villa La Estancia has preconstruction prices from the mid $100,000?s"Phil C - 3-23-2006 at 02:29 PM
BND " Loreto Ghetto" Phil S - 3-23-2006 at 05:32 PM
Dan. Do you think that eventually the "ghetto" (aka Loreto Bay/Nopolo) will end up having a higher tax evaluation than Loreto Proper????Bruce R Leech - 3-23-2006 at 05:37 PM
Skeet where are you when we need you?vandenberg - 3-23-2006 at 06:18 PM
BTW, does anybody know what happened to Skeet ?? Haven't seen a post of him in days. Unusual to say the least.backninedan - 3-25-2006 at 09:15 AM
Phil, I have no idea. Im not even sure Loreto ghetto will survive in its current form. The old questions of water, power and sewer have never been
answered. If it does get completed as advertised, I have no doubt the the tax base will exeed Loreto proper.tigerdog - 3-26-2006 at 09:33 AM
The Villa Group is an important company in Mexico's timeshare world. They do regular timeshare as well as "fractional" and "private residence club",
and also whole ownership. So I'd say YES, assuming all goes well, there will definitely be timeshare in Loreto. It was only a matter of time...

Loreto Bay people have visited mountain ranchos with Loreto's munincipal president and expressed an interest in purchasing the properties. Many months
ago, at a meeting with Loreto residents, LB suggested that they may build dams and aqueducts to bring water from the mountains.
I'm no expert, but eyeballing the flow of surface water, it looks pretty sparse to me.
Several Mexican residents say LB has already bought Primer Agua fron Fonatur. But there is only a very small stream there. Wells, maybe?
And, there is the Loreto munincipal water supply. The city plans to:
1. More agressively collect bills (many are unpaid) to raise money to repair leaks.
2. Meter water to encourage conservation.
They say this will result in more usable water for future growth and development.
I don't know. There are buildings going up all over the place. I think we have a problem...wilderone - 4-10-2006 at 08:58 AM
LB probably wants to charge a membership fee for Primer Agua - some kind of Palapa Bar Country Club - look for the Keep Out sign.
