ALOHA...Does anybody know why it is so hard and expensive to get from lax to loreto? Is there any other way to fly?It use to be so easy!

Bruce R Leech - 6-9-2006 at 03:51 PM

yes the reason is we lost the main airline that flue there.

jerry - 6-9-2006 at 04:21 PM

shouldnt be hard just call alaska air lines flys 3 days a week

airlines

You could reduce that airfare by booking about six weeks in advance. I just got my tickets from Portland, OR to LTO through LAX on Alaska Air for $478.00 total incl. tax, etc.
Use their website, it's even cheaper.

the price has gotten out of control....we enjoying driving most of the time, but use to like a long weekend now and then..... it may slow the growth more than anything.

I think it is a temporary thing. I believe that another airline will come in and pick up the slack very soon.

Thanks for the feed back. We're frustated that we can fly from Hawaii to LAX for less than we can from LAX to Loreto.

It is a bummer but it will change with time. rumor is that Frontier airlines is going to start flying in to Loreto. they already fly to the cape

Rumor's are incorrect!

Frontier is a subsidiary of Alaska and they will not be flying to Loreto but are considering La Paz. Alaska will add a fourth day after the first of the year. I'll bet it will be saturdays.

frontier has nothing to do with Alaska airlines I know this for a fact.

$478.00 tax and fees includid is about the same as i paid last jan for tickets from Eugene Or. to loreto and portland to loreto is usally cheaper then out of eugene to loreto and i dont think thats too bad
gotta remember its international and the fees and taxes are about $100.00 extra

Paula - 6-12-2006 at 08:37 PM

It sure would be nice if there were a non-stop from Loreto to LA leaving early a.m. several times a week. Then it might be easy to make connections north and east and get where you're going in one day.

Just thought I'd post my wish in case anyone influential is reading this thread:D
