You could reduce that airfare by booking about six weeks in advance. I just got my tickets from Portland, OR to LTO through LAX on Alaska Air for $478.00 total incl. tax, etc.
Use their website, it's even cheaper.

the price has gotten out of control....we enjoying driving most of the time, but use to like a long weekend now and then..... it may slow the growth more than anything.

I think it is a temporary thing. I believe that another airline will come in and pick up the slack very soon.

Thanks for the feed back. We're frustated that we can fly from Hawaii to LAX for less than we can from LAX to Loreto.

Frontier is a subsidiary of Alaska and they will not be flying to Loreto but are considering La Paz. Alaska will add a fourth day after the first of the year. I'll bet it will be saturdays.

It sure would be nice if there were a non-stop from Loreto to LA leaving early a.m. several times a week. Then it might be easy to make connections north and east and get where you're going in one day.

Just thought I'd post my wish in case anyone influential is reading this thread:D
