Any Wood Turners in BCS? Looking to put up a small pole lathe.

alaskabazaar...I am a cabinetmaker interested in anything to do with wood. My interest has little to do with Baja, because there is little wood in
Baja. For years I had hoped to teach woodworking when I retire. That was before Baja. Now I hope to teach woodworking 4 month a year here in
California. Pole turning is Heavy Mill work and you need both Wood and a long bed lathe. There may be a lathe in Baja, not sure. Most poles I have
seen are rough Hewan and there should be a saying, "What is, is." Fine turned poles may not be accepted???
Let us know how it turns out. I Like I said, I am interested in Wood.

I live on the East Cape(Los Zacatitos near Punta Gorda) have a Grizzley 14inch lath that I use to turn bowls etc. Plan to try out some drift wood this
winter. LynnAl G - 10-31-2006 at 11:02 AM
