it was some type of wire mesh (epoxy coated, I think, based on the green color) that ran through and around the tube the fringehead was in. There is
an amazing amount of junk under this pier and all of it creates habitat and hiding places for the animals that live there. It was not a part of my

No, it was pretty typical. The visibility in Morro Bay is never very good, I don't think I've ever seen more than about 10-15 ft horizontal. But you
don't need much viz for this type of macro image, remember the subjects are very small and just a few inches in front of the port.
