Puerto San Carlos, Mag Bay

Al G - 10-19-2006 at 08:54 AM

Who has info on lots here. Where is the best/most likely area to look. This would be a camping spot and maybe future house....investment.
Thanks for anything you can offer.

Diver - 10-19-2006 at 09:27 AM

There is a road going northwest to the beach from La Poza.
The google image shows lots of either boats or RVs near the beach.
Anyone know what this spot is like ?
Camping, fishing, surfing ??

Where do most of you Mag Bay fishermen put your boats in ??
.

Al G - 10-19-2006 at 10:15 AM

Diver...Looks like boats, because of the way they are parked(kinda crocked) Look just south. there is a good looking non surf launch maybe. Boats means there must be fish???

Bruce go north to La Poza Grande about 50 miles north of Ciudad Constitucion. On google earth you will see a dirt road heading north west to the beach. There you are. looks a lot like pangas for coop fishing.

Here's La Poza Grande and The boats in the lagoon...

Fish Camp near La Poza Grande

Diver - 10-19-2006 at 11:21 AM

The spot we were looking at is north of the fish camp quite a ways.
If you back out on that shot so you can see La Poza, you will see a road going nw to the water. The spot is at the water edge.

One hour east of Portland. Near Hood River.

Al G - 10-19-2006 at 12:33 PM

Diver... You hijacked my house deal, good friend you are...
:lol::P:lol:
Just funning.

Diver - 10-19-2006 at 12:39 PM

Al,

I still want to buy at 10 year ago prices which is when I should have bought. My $20,000 beachfront lot in La Ventana is now over $200,000 ! :(

Al G - 10-19-2006 at 12:43 PM

I thing $200,000 will be 2,000,000 in another 10 years::wow:

Diver - 10-19-2006 at 12:52 PM

The land is growing in value as I am decreasing in value.....

We better have a beer in Mulege and comiserate !

But then, there are still worlds yet to be discovered.
Or at least still affordable. I hope.
12 years remaing to retirement for me.
.

Al G - 10-19-2006 at 01:13 PM

I will hold your spot in Baja for 12 years, but the Hood river has some good fishing too I think. Maybe some summer I will see you there. I have a good friend in Portland I need to see too.

that's where our flying sams clinic is.
we have a local gringa who is the coordinator.

she knows everyone and everything going on there.
with the recent hurricane leaving 90% of the place in shambles you could get a deal on some property.
not as a carpet bagger , i mean some with prop intending to sell need the $$ so it's a good market for a buyer who's sincere about joining the community.

you can email me at n7369p at q dot com

jureal - 12-11-2009 at 12:44 PM

Ok, thanks. Will do this.

Capt Mike, I sent you an email. Thanks.

capt. mike - 12-11-2009 at 03:06 PM

got it and sent it on to her. good luck. all my sams buds are there manana.

Bajahowodd - 12-11-2009 at 05:22 PM

Gee, Skeet. What are you selling?

capt. mike - 12-12-2009 at 08:49 AM

that piece she sent us back is a steal in my opinion. that town is small but has everything you need.
i know at least one other guy looking at it today.
you might want to swoop down there some time soon.
they actually have warm days in winter and less wind. summer it is like all the pacific side - spectacular.
