I have met and talked to Rosauro Herrera on 01/18/07, the last day
where one could launch at the "old" still high rate of 132 pesos/day. She is a
nice person, but does have NO decision power. Neither does her boss, Mr.
Federico Cortina. I called Mexico City Singlar's Manager's office of Nautical
Service, Mr. Herardo Goncales Carmarena, where I spoke with his
secretary, Ms Sarah Ortez. She was very pleasant and promised to convey my concern
to the Manager. The same evening Mr. Federico Cortina called me,
indicating that they are concerned at the outcry this rate hike has brought and
hope to rectify the situation. I also questioned why they have closed one of the best launch ramps the Bahia has, which was primarily brought to it's
present standard by
Gringo money and labor and plan to meet with him early next week. He was
surprised to hear from me, that the old ramp was one of the best found in the
Bahia. Singlar was very quick to raise the rates, I doubt they will be as
quick to repeal the rate hike.
