Brrrrrrrrr!!!! Cold last Night at La Paz

JESSE - 12-11-2007 at 10:53 AM

Coldest night of the year for sure.

Don Alley - 12-11-2007 at 11:00 AM

So I'm waiting in the line at Loreto's single operating ATM this morning. The woman ahead of me is visibly shivering and briskly rubbing her hands together. The two women behind me are hugging themselves: "Muy frio!" I'm wearing jeans and a sweater, and yes, I'm cold too.

A pair of tourists stroll by, in shorts and t shirts. No problem.

Ya,

I need four cords cut and quartered and 300 kilos of carbon for the BBQ. Do you deliver?

I have already burned 1/2 a cord of eucalyptus since October! Fireplace hot and windows open in my hut. I bought a new Lopi stove and ripped out the old gas heater. It burns so hot there is usually no smoke. Al Gore will come any day to take it away.

Last Wednesday it was 84 degs in Fort Worth, by Friday the daytime highs stayed in the 30s, "warmed" into the 40s a little over the weekend...I'll take your 50s Jesse!

Who cares about Bajas' weather

Sharksbaja - 12-11-2007 at 01:18 PM

It was 28F here and 24F in Yosemite yesterday. THAT'S what really matters.

It's soooo cold l here in Central Valley Utah. When I took the lid off the hot tub, the temp dropped from 105 to 103 in less than 3 minutes. I could only take about an hour of that 103 water.:cool: I would pretend I was at Guadalupe Canyon.

Cold

MrBillM - 12-11-2007 at 05:13 PM

Here in Brownsville TX 87 daytime high, 70 nighttime low. Expecting a cold snap at the end of the week. Should get all the way down to 69 daytime, 54 night.

Governor has declared the Texas panhandle a disaster area due to ice storms. What a state!
