Give em the eye membrane test - frogs have em - toads don't...pretty good bet if they're in water they're frogs and if not close to water, they're

Don't know if a nictitating membrane or eyelid is an indicator of Bufo or not. You may be thinking of the tympanum, or tympanic membrane, which is

Too danged much work for me in such foolish pursuit - for those still foolishly persuing - google' frog vs. toad'......and tell me if you have it
figured out yet!
Tympanic is the eardrum though...I have too much free time on the road now..............
