Pacific tree frog, Hyla regilla. Note the dark band extending from the snout, through the eye and ending near the foreleg junction. It is the only
species so marked among the Bufo, Rana, and Hyla of Baja Ca. pp76 in Grismers.

Don't know if a nictitating membrane or eyelid is an indicator of Bufo or not. You may be thinking of the tympanum, or tympanic membrane, which is
present in frogs but not toads.

Too danged much work for me in such foolish pursuit - for those still foolishly persuing - google' frog vs. toad'......and tell me if you have it
figured out yet!
Tympanic is the eardrum though...I have too much free time on the road now..............
