Banned from Rosarito Christian Church

EMAM - 2-18-2008 at 10:20 PM

I'm curious as to what one must do to get banned from a church? Aside from attending with a Maryln Mansion shirt on:spingrin:

Since I am not her husband....I can be a little more risque.
Hot Tamale
You said she was not gringa so I hope this is not viewed as an insult...it is a compliment.
As for the church thing...I don't have to go. I have a Christian Church on the lot next door...so I get all I want 3-4 times a week and drum practice the other days:lol::lol:

You already called her "Spicy." That sounds good.

Then again, "Hey you" may work in your house. One never knows.

oldjack - 2-19-2008 at 08:42 AM

JoanofBaja.... that covers a lot of personalities............

DENNIS - 2-19-2008 at 08:53 AM

I voted in the poll just to see the results. I, and many others here I'm sure, know less than nothing about the "church" in question. It sounds as though it has a story worth telling here, other than hellfire and damnation.
Fill us in, please.

Thanks Duo. I wonder if somebody can give us the inside scoop. How does one go about being banned etc. You know, thrown out of "Gods House."

backninedan - 2-19-2008 at 10:38 AM

Anyone banned from a church is my kind of person, please have her join us.

Maybe by wearing a turban.:?::?::biggrin:

And BTW, maybe just "BANNED" is a good moniker:?:

[Edited on 2-19-2008 by vandenberg]

What's in the name?

Lee - 2-19-2008 at 10:50 AM

Met a girl at the Front Desk of Baja Cactus, El Rosario, and she said her name was ''Juicy.'' I said I beg your pardon? Never met anyone named Juicy.

So, that's my nomination.

Banned for Banging

MrBillM - 2-19-2008 at 11:06 AM

I have an ex-wife back in Georgia who was banned from whichever Racist Baptist Church she was attending at the time. She and one of the (married) Church Elders were caught doing the dirty in a backroom of the Church. Another in a long list of her amours.

It appears that isn't what was meant by Loving your Neighbor.

Coincidentally, I'm in an especially good mood today because of her.

I was talking with my youngest son back in GA last night and he mentioned that his mother (who I haven't seen in over 30 years) had fallen and broken her ankle on an icy walkway. Broken so bad that it required pins and screws. That Didn't bring the smile. It was when he said that her weight had made the mishap worse. I asked "weight, how much does she weigh ?" 300 pounds for the last few years. That's had me smiling ever since. There was a gal who was obsessive about weight, starving herself when I thought she looked too thin already. The vision of her 300 pound bulk in a wheelchair is just too sweet. I was tempted to ask my son for a photo. I still may.

Adding a little spice to the bounty was the knowledge that her husband (the dirty dog she was caught with) now has Parkinson's Disease. Picture that pair.

GOD does work in mysterious ways.

Well, you old coot,
Don't you realize that the old girl was missing more then just morals.:?:
Below par performance on your part.

Al G - 2-19-2008 at 11:38 AM

MrBill...It seems a number (big) of us have had the wife from hell...my first wife of 8 years pounded me for 20+ years...and I don't care who thinks I am the worst human being ever, but the day I found out she overdosed and died...I had the biggest party and have not been that happy since...:cool:

Failing Expectations

MrBillM - 2-19-2008 at 11:55 AM

Al G Understands. Comrades in misery past.

As to Vberg's comment, thankfully, my Georgia Peach saved me from all self-doubt AND from the unsaid accusations from HER friends. She did so by running through guys at a pace not usually enjoyed by non-professionals. BEFORE we separated for good, she had moved through three and once back in Georgia, my son tells me the number of "Uncles" she brought home was staggering. His childhood left him with mixed emotions made worse by the fact that too many people have told him that he's the spitting image of one of her other "friends" at the time we were dating.

Yes, Al, it is a great feeling. The final affirmation. I couldn't feel any better if she did die. Well, maybe a little.

Too late, I thought of a great line and had to call my son back.

I asked if she was still a Baptist. Yes. I said that after her mate became ill, I thought they might have become Shakers. I'm sure he'll pass it on.

Life is good. Well, better, anyway.

gibson - 2-19-2008 at 05:23 PM

somebody did somebody wrong in a church!!?? who knew!

Iflyfish - 2-20-2008 at 10:42 AM

bandeh? A good Canadian version
banda Feminine form of band
bandana A woman named ana who was banned
abanda A feminine form or an abandoned, no, this isn't working
bandaide A person who helps someone banned.
blisted That of course is a person who has been placed on the banned list

Thats all for now folks, no thanks on the dinner if you choose one of these cheap options.

I did get kicked out of Catachism class once for giving a host to my hungry brother without the proper pronouncements.....also once kicked out of Religion class in Prep School for saying that the bible came from; Inspiration as well as from Virgins, was supposed to say Versions, goes to show where my head was at. These things happen. Sic Transit Gloria Mundi

Hey, I have to say something here

Keri - 2-20-2008 at 11:18 AM

William and Susan took over La Bamba June 1st and they have done a fantastic job. They have daily specials that are wonderful. They will even email you a monthly menu so you can pick your favorites. If you are craving great American food this is a must do. They are closed until Feb 24 for remodeling . Please go try them again I think you will be pleasantly surprised. Mike and I go for lunch at least once a week. We love it,k:yes:

Seems as if this is a very strange church .... There web site says they welcome people from many belief systems, but this does not seem to be the case based on the number of banned.
What's happening up there. Sounds like the ministers are on some kind of power trip or rather control trip.

I asked the same above but, seems nobody wants to verify their accusations so, It's a BS post until we hear otherwise.

bajamigo - 2-20-2008 at 07:17 PM

Fine church, just don't drink the Kool-Aid.

BAJACAT - 2-21-2008 at 09:18 PM

vandenberg - 2-22-2008 at 09:52 AM

Got thrown out of a catholic church in my hometown The Hague, Holland, for sneaking halfway up the tower and ringing the churchbell right in the middle of a service.
For an excuse, I was only maybe 8 or 9 years old though.:saint:

'member Ray Stevens?

Mulegena - 2-22-2008 at 01:42 PM

"The Day the Squirrel Went Berzerk"

... in the New Self-Righteous Church..."

anybody remember that song? The video was an absolute, head-bangin' hoot!

"... in the sleepy little town of Pascagoula."

I love when that little rodent caused The Parting of the Folding Chairs.

Ol' Ray Stevens was a musical comedy genius of low-brow humor.

There are quite a few characters here, so I already warned her ... should be fun to hear ... we're thinking of making a contest ... best suggestion gets a dinner at La Bamba (a restraunt that I gave a bad review, but many came to its defense, so we'll let the winner try it for us first because we are scared to try it again)

Don't say we can't read. Read what you wrote. You've been milking this post since the 19th. You trashed the church, and a restaurant...what's up with you?

Still more convinced!!!!

Can I agree with this post....or will it get clipped also???

DENNIS - 2-29-2008 at 05:48 PM

So...Does that mean I won't get my prize, a dinner at a restaurant that the gracious doner says is a garbage dispensary? Just kidding, Bajaeng. Yours is a kind offer.
Actually, you used the word ,"Spicy" and I was only repeating you. You also brought the name, "Angel" so, I guess you win your own contest. Good for you.
Maybe La Bamba has improved since your last experience.

Now, perhaps you can facilitate some closure here. We want answers.
