Back to the 40s

Hook - 12-21-2008 at 06:01 AM

Well, it finally happened over here on the coast of Sonora.........

This morning's reading at 6am shows a temp of 48.8 degrees. That's the first o'night low we've had in the 40s.

How fitting that it would be on the solstice.

But I'm sure there are more nights in the 40s ahead.

How about a 'round the Pond checkin of temps this AM? Is it your coldest morning of the year, too? Russ, Pompano, Bob and Susan, someone in San Felipe? Loreto?

Pompano - 12-21-2008 at 06:11 AM

Hook...yup, winter is here. Last night was the first time to turn on the furnace, even though the thermostat is set quite low.

Temp in Coyote Bay is 54.5 F at 6:00 a.m. with clear skies and no wind...yet.

p.s. Just checked the temp in North Dakota. Almost 100 degrees difference from here to there! - 50 degrees with the wind chill.....brrrrrrrrr...

Suddenly I feel sooo much warmer.

Do you believe everything Susan tells you?:tumble::rolleyes:

I'd better get an updated wx report from her before I leave for Baja right after Xmas. Right now I am buried in snow.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you and all Nomads.

Tony..it could be worse.

Pompano - 12-21-2008 at 10:58 AM

....further Up North, parking lakeside in winter can be, shall we say...problematic? ;)

Yikes!:wow:

For a minute, I thought that was the Malecon in La Paz. Pretty sure those aren't palms though.

Well Hook, it happened here this morning, too.

Hook - 12-22-2008 at 06:33 AM

44 right now, Roger. Might drop another degree or two before it reverses.

Jack Swords - 12-22-2008 at 06:45 AM

La Paz, 59 degrees this morning, 82 degrees yesterday...on the water in the marina.

Bob and Susan - 12-22-2008 at 06:51 AM

Note:

Fishing trip scrubbed this morning. I need to stay home and defrost the house.

This from the 'calm' part of the Bay..as opposed to the 'wild' parts out yonder.

Tis a coolish morning....

43.7 and still dropping........usually take about a half hour after sunrise for it to reverse, barring any wind.

Bob and Susan - 12-22-2008 at 08:38 AM

Bob, now you know I like a boat with more fishing deck.

I guess you're never going to forgive me for calling the straits of the Bay...'wild.' ;D
