Does anyone know what the regulations are regarding FM2 holders driving a foreign plated vehicle?
I drove my 2003 Honda down months ago, and since then I've received my FM2. Wondering what the best plan would be:
1) Get my car NOB asap
2) Find a way to legally import it
3) register it with ONAPAFFA

when importing a car it needs to be in the usa and
it HAS to be the correct year
onapaffa is only for mexicans
its a political issue for them
you do need a mexican drivers license
get that at the police station

i've talked to ALOT of import people
when you have an fm2 you are a permanent resident and need a mexican license

Nonsense. It's no more required than the Mex license. It isn't a requirment for anything.
US plated cars are yours if you reside in any part of Baja Norte and if you have this situation, you are protected. There is no way an owner

You are NOT a permanent resident until you have completed the required years of FM2 and applied for and received permanent residency. I have gone

want to see a mexican license if you have a fm2
i havent found the rule yet but got a mexican license anyway

So it sounds like it is probably not required to have a Mexican license & plates on an FM2 until one reaches Immigrado status..... as long as one
doesn't go showing off your FM2 status to the Federales.
