I didn't vote because I don't think any of the four adequately describes David K's contributions. David's own quote better represents his value here, except it is too modest. He IS an authority and expert based on his experience, his research and his contacts.

The only other issue I would take with David's own self-assessment is a qualified "but....."

Well, I voted but I had a hard time deciding which one to pick because as some have pointed out several seem to apply. Can I change my vote? Or maybe just vote twice for my new pick to offset the first one? These polls can be so difficult, one really needs to think things through and not just randomly pick one.....I'm going to have a.....nother glass of wine and vote again.......dt

The reason there are space between the potential answers is that a despicable old liberal didn't know that if you double spaced between the questions the program would create a "check box" with an empty line after it.

I'm sorry it was confusing. For those who vote in elections, I recommend that you not check any box that defies definition; like a box with total emptiness after it.

I say this with reservation because even though I can see the sky from my house, I am still no authority on empty space.

Well, is it obvious that Libs never think so judging by all their nit-picking with EVERYBODY, and crys of HYPOCRIT (sp?), but yes, generically some people are deserving of "total approval", in a general way and for purposes of THIS survey.

Because, Dennis, at times you come across as a deranged individual who would come visit critics in the middle of the night and rip their guts out. David doesn't inspire that kind of "respect," and is, therefore, fair game.

As for this poll, I didn't vote. For whatever reasons David is motivated to post, we are all the better for his efforts. Questioning his motives, it seems to me, would be equal to looking a gift horse in the mouth. I can't think of anyone who is more "into" Baja than David K. It takes a lot of work--and money invested in books--to be able to do what he does.

Keep up the good work, David, and keep in mind the words of that old song "you can't please everybody..."

Nah....I'm not a night person so much anymore. Thank you for the "deranged" part though. It gives me a sense of accomplishment.

I voted and I'm not saying which of the choices I picked. However, I will say this. David, I've really valued your knowledge and advise for the past few years. You're always there when someone needs something. Most often without even being asked you'll offer your help. Many here are very helpful and knowledgeable, but you are the KING in my book.
