Blanca. Gotta wonder about your source, and whether you were given the full picture. You reference the tourism board. But, since when do they have a
final say?
Everyone recalls when the entire peninsula consisted of a single state known as Baja California. When they established BCS, they didn't change the
name of Baja California to BCN. Given the wide use of the term Sudcalifornia, as noted, it may be that there has been some discussion of giving BCS a
more singular identity. But, even if the Southerners want to change things, I cannot, for the life of me think why anyone in the state of Baja
California would not be able to use "Baja" in a business name. |
