so, I was not told that I have to know the anthem, but it makes sense to know it anyways, I was told that I would get asked 5 of the 100 history
questions and I can only miss one (ouch !!).
As far as I understand, one can keep both nationalities BUT when in Mexico, one is a Mexican ie can not request the American embassy/consulate to
intervene in any way ....
I also know that with an FM2, the time required to request Mexican citizenship takes 5 years for an American. And 2 years for a latin American.
The only reason I will do it is:
1. to NOT have to do immigration paperwork every year.
2. Be able to put property in our names without fideicomisos.

They won't do anything for you anyway unless you have a big business.
