True, back Mission Bay has some urban runoff from the hills above but this is San Diego. Alot of bunny huggers live here and do a great job keeping
the environment quite clean. The bay is clean for swimming anywhere in Mission Bay. When it is not, which is rarely, the Water Quality officials will
notify you. It's A lot cleaner than the waters between from Ensenada to TJ.

lobsterboy,
swim all you want in mission bay, i don't care.
i will not swim in mission bay.
do you really think the county health dept reports competent or truthful water quality tests?
the DEH reports what politicians and business leaders want you to read.
yes, the DEH occasionally reports about a sewage spill and closes a beach for a day, but only because they haven't found a way to bury evidence of
sewage spills.
mission bay is a closed bay with poor circulation, and the water quality is bad - swim there at your own peril, and if you don't like ear or sinus
infections, then stay out of the water. |
