I could have used different aspects of this tool at one time or another while travelling it baja.
Overkill? What is your favorite must have tool for baja travelling?DENNIS - 5-2-2011 at 06:48 PM
A bottle opener. Pacifico doesn't have a twist top.
Is this going to be another "Judy'sList" ?DENNIS - 5-2-2011 at 06:50 PM

Yo einstein. Bottle on bottle utilising leverage (bottle cap to bottle cap craddled in your thumb-forefinger area). No opener req'd. (And yes, simply
use an empty with bottle cap re-inserted for the last full soldier)
For a lush, I'm very dissapointed in you.
But ur welcome for the tip.

I'm flattered. There are non-lushes who are dissapointed in me as well so don't let your shame get the best of you.woody with a view - 5-2-2011 at 07:34 PM
a nail driven into a stud at a 60 degree angle point up is an effective opener, also!drarroyo - 5-2-2011 at 07:52 PM

Huh???? What are you talking about, Paul? Are you having a bad dream?Osprey - 5-3-2011 at 06:08 AM
17 years now and counting -- looking back (and forward, a little) I thank the Gods for my "could not have made it without 1 in 3 tool": A Baja must
>> I have vicegrips in my house, bodega, truck. They are rocks, pry bars, pullers, pushers, crimpers, crushers, knarlers, openers, closers,
weapons, cooking utensils, food and animal openers, they hold things still while you go get another beer, more nails, glue, etc. They are hammers,
screwdrivers, removers and a lot more.choyero - 5-3-2011 at 06:53 AM

clams, oysters, lobster, burros, acha, to get at bone marrow, to name just a few.choyero - 5-3-2011 at 07:30 AM
That tool could be considered as, putting all your eggs in one basket. It's pretty cool though.Maderita - 5-3-2011 at 10:48 AM
Looks like a waste of money. If I was given one, it probably would not even go in one of my rigs. Like most multi-tools, everything is a compromise.
Meaning, it does nothing well.

Yeah....In a land where we're not supposed to have a gun, those jacks can be used for suicide as well.choyero - 5-3-2011 at 06:25 PM
hi-lifts are great, but they are dangerous are hell. I couldn't begin to tell you how many accidents and near misses those things cause. However, they
can also be your best friend, when you really need it. I like the ARB jacks much better, especially for sand.wilderone - 5-4-2011 at 09:46 AM
For $85, I'd say just bring the individual items. If it's for "just in case" - still, too much $$ - bring two of the individual items.
"Must have"? Shovel.
"Survival"? Don't be stupid enough to get yourself in a situation where you need to "survive".805gregg - 5-12-2011 at 06:49 PM
I thought you were going to name a person. I vote DK.
