Hotel in Tijuana?

Tommy A - 10-19-2011 at 04:01 PM

Visiting a friend in Del Mar Ca and want to go down to Tijuana for one night, any suggestions on a good/safe place to stay? Thanks

A good friend of mine just stayed at the Hotel Ticuan and thought it was fantastic; he felt totally safe and couldn't believe the great price. Their website is www.hotelticuan.com where you can see pics, get rates, etc.

Which hotel does FDT work at? This could be a good choice. Hang on....someone will fill us in.

I think FDT works at Castillos Del Mar in Rosarito, Dennis.
It's a cute beachfront motel. Have stayed there several times. It is located about 1/4 mile south of the Rosarito Beach hotel.

The Castillos del Mar facility is owned by the same group that also owns the Hotel Corona Plaza in Rosarito, and what was formerly the Hotel Corona in Tijuana (now the Hotel Revolution 5, or "Revo 5").

Why would you want to spend the night in TJ, what a pit, stay in Del Mar and go for the day that will be enough. Park in downtown SD and take the trolly to the border and walk across.
