Hi all I'm new to the Baja and have decided I'd like to purchase a kayak. I don't need fancy but would like something that I could store a few things
in and that's a capable water craft for fishing from and just exploring. I'm new to kayaking so would like a stable boat but nothing crazy heavy
either. In La Paz right now but heading south soon so anyone here or south of that might have one or advice on where I might get one please let me
know. Thanks
Matt

I'm new to kayaking too. I didn't want the long ones you normally see although they are better for the longer paddles. I wanted one that I could move
around easily from place to place on my Ranger SxS. This is what I bought after a lot of time searching on the internet.

I love it and have added stuff to it to help me fish from it.

I’m a big fan of my Cobra Tandem sit-on-top. Heavy at 60 lbs but has a 600 lb carrying capacity. Not as fast as a sea kayak but wide and stable with
lots of storage room inside. Great for my purposes as a fishing platform and exploring along the coast.
And when I was two months out on Guardian Angel Island it served me well for bringing back driftwood and beachcombing finds to my campsite. Wonderful
to carry a dog, and most important of all if you roll or get washed off you can simply climb back on again and get underway.
