Guess dogs and people should stay off a race course during a race?

Islandbuilder - 1-17-2012 at 12:00 PM

You see that same behavior in Europe during the World Rally Cup, or, for the Tour de France.

The dog running out is one thing, all these high speed noisy things are outside anything they've ever experienced, but the people can certainly hear the cars coming.......

Will there be a Picador for the next 1000?

Smart a$$ comment aside, I AM sorry anyone was injured!

Yeah...poor dogs.

Hey!

Most of my favorite people are dogs!

Had the scare of my life last 500. We camp on a remote section of the course and right as a couple karts were rounding the canyon my dogs heard a squirrel and crossed the road. To late to call them back I prayed they would stay entertained with their prey. The first kart flew by drawing their attention and as they started back the second one beat them to a meeting with the reaper. I can only hope that misfortune will not bring an end to Baja's Super Bowl.

I'll be attending my first 1000 next November. Newbie.

The SCORE Baja 1000 this year is a peninsula run to La Paz. The NORRA Mexican 1000 rally the end of April runs from Mexicali to Cabo this year. Two good reasons to visit all the peninsula.

I was at the Borrego pit at the 6:30 mark in the video when Andy got out and Scott got in. Scott's seat wouldn't move forward and it took a while like a several minutes before he left. Andy was mad really mad and pounded on the truck. They came in 1st or 2nd and left like 4th or 5th. It's no fun going back out and trying to pass 2 or 3 trucks you've already passed.
