You see that same behavior in Europe during the World Rally Cup, or, for the Tour de France.
The dog running out is one thing, all these high speed noisy things are outside anything they've ever experienced, but the people can certainly hear
the cars coming.......
Will there be a Picador for the next 1000?
Smart a$$ comment aside, I AM sorry anyone was injured!
Had the scare of my life last 500. We camp on a remote section of the course and right as a couple karts were rounding the canyon my dogs heard a
squirrel and crossed the road. To late to call them back I prayed they would stay entertained with their prey. The first kart flew by drawing their
attention and as they started back the second one beat them to a meeting with the reaper. I can only hope that misfortune will not bring an end to
Baja's Super Bowl.
The SCORE Baja 1000 this year is a peninsula run to La Paz. The NORRA Mexican 1000 rally the end of April runs from Mexicali to Cabo this year. Two
good reasons to visit all the peninsula.
