since the previous pics were a repeat (senior moment), I hereby purposely re-post these photos of these horses. We rarely see this anymore. Horses
are not allowed to live on the house premises now - they were told to move them out of town. Now the BBQs/horse riding is done at the entrance to la
bocana at special stalls that were built.
I am surprised that this is done with horses yet not done with the roosters !!!Paulina - 3-24-2012 at 09:12 PM

Why can't someone house their horse on their own property and who came up with this rule?

as the horse population grew in Asuncion, more and more people had horses in their yards which created a bit of a problem with flies and a nasty smell
which neighbours without horses were opposed to....so here too, the horse owners were told to move their horses to places not close to other
houses...at the entrance to town.
As is many issues in Mexico....it's not a problem until someone complains about it then the authorities are pressured to do something about the
problem...there is usually some law that takes care of it but they only apply it when there is a complaint....pretty reasonable system actually.Paulina - 3-25-2012 at 02:14 PM
