Causa Peruano in my Casa

Ken Cooke - 10-2-2012 at 07:45 PM

This was my very first taste of Causa Peruano. Very tasty! Very delicioso!

Let's start with Potatoes...

Those are Avocadoes over onions and Tuna. At the very bottom are mashed potatoes...

The top layer is Mashed potatoes with strips of butter. Can you say, "Yummy" in Peruvian!?!

Washed down with Peru's very best!:bounce:

Muy Rico...Muy Delicioso!

what goes into the potatoes to make them yellowish ? this sounds like a wonderful recipe, BTW.

It sort of looks like polenta, except that it's mostly potatoes.

Hmmmmmm. That makes me yearn for polenta.

At the local Maxi Foods, our friend who recently moved here from Lima, Peru wanted to drink this with the great Peruvian meal that she prepared for us. This soda tastes like bubble gum!
