Thanks for the post. If this goes through, I would hope family & close friends would be more apt to visit & hang-out. My fingers are

I fail to see how such an ID would reduce the border wait times.
We already have a US issued RFID passport, and IT has failed to produce any significant border-crossing wait times.bajaguy - 5-1-2013 at 08:03 AM
The enhanced DL would enable people to use the Ready Lanes which is, in fact slower sometimes than the regular lanes.
The enhanced Dl may seem to be a solution to faster border crossing, but may probably make the lines/wait longerbeachbum1A - 5-1-2013 at 08:10 AM
I see the voting on this issue is split 2/3 for and 1/3 against.DENNIS - 5-1-2013 at 08:29 AM

I could not get the link to go, I remember somewhere the
$ of an enhanced lic, was to be $75 or so, the Passcard
is less than that, even if bought alone, if they would make
it a $5 add on, I could see it working. Have heard that
producing just a regular Ca DL to Customs, does not
automatically cause a delay in crossing, that actually MAY be faster, reported 70% of crossers back have the required
