Or Dennis, maybe its to guide the fishermen flock home

DENNIS - 5-21-2013 at 02:08 PM

See all the scaffolding in front of Our Lady Of The Light Bulb? Story goes, they never take it down which makes it a work in progress. When the job is done, they have to start paying taxes on it. NoNoNo....don't want that.

Yep........that's the way the story goes.

Jeeeezo...look at that big, blue building on the left. What did you say the name of this town is? Ciudad Standard Brands?

BajaBlanca - 5-21-2013 at 03:45 PM

lol! no, there wasnt near that much visibility!

BajaBlanca - 5-21-2013 at 04:13 PM

So much sand! Thank goodness, we are at the furthest point north and we look towards town and Abreojos and all we see is white when the winds kick up.

Back to the thread, the park in Abre is really nice and inviting. The animal trash bins are fantastic. La Bocana could sure take some lessons.

Blanca,

It takes everyone being involved and a fantastic Delegada who works countless hours. It takes a lot of effort and work, plus the Town must be involved (not just a few people). Did you notice our spay and neuter clinic this week? Talk to the Mujeres En Acción (Chelo) to get participation ideas? Talk to the Delegada (America) for more. Thanks for your nice comments.

Ive only been visiting PA for about 7 years. This is what the malecon looked like in 2006

And this is some fine camping. Sleeping on the beach next to the little cliff gets you out of 30 mph winds all night

That's too many wheels to deflate and reinflate, not to mention clean the mud out of.

Mexitron - 5-22-2013 at 02:23 PM

That rig seems a little overkill for cruising in Baja...looks like something developed in Europe for the Saharan dunes....

DianaT - 5-22-2013 at 05:17 PM

Ralph,

Great photos and I LOVE that yellow! It is great.

You are lucky down there to have Chelo and your delegada as they work together and involve the community in many good things. Besides, Chelo is just a really fun person to visit.

truck was probably built to carry up to 8 tons, and that trailer probably weighs 2 tons, so they could haul another 6 tons of fuel and water and food!

rts551 - 5-24-2013 at 02:01 PM

The old Salon Social is now almost gone.... with a new one to be completed this year. Thank You governor!

rts551 - 5-24-2013 at 02:46 PM

yes. I saw a rendition of what was presented to the governor. Looks nice. Not just a square box. America says soon. But we will see. Been to everyone for a long time as well. Last year was a little quiet by their standards for some reason.
