Back in the water.....

Ken Bondy - 5-29-2013 at 08:42 PM

After eight long months with no diving (the longest I've gone since I was certified in 1980) I got back in the water last week for three dives in Morro Bay. Can't describe how good it felt, and I even ran into a few old friends:

Rafting otter near the Rock:

Blue heron fishing near the North T-Pier

Triopha catalinae:

Polycera hedgpethi

Fringehead in bottle:

Can't keep a good man down. Well....maybe with a weight belt.

Welcome back, Ken. We missed you.

The bottled fringeheads are always my favorites. I'm glad you're getting wet again, Ken!

Nothing like a good salt water fix Woody!! :)

I had an uncle that actually drank sea water every day. Claimed it was good for him. He'd drive down from Hollywood to Long Beach with his bottles once a month. We all thought he was nuts.

Theory is the Jamestown Colonists drank too much salt from the delta of the James River and that and local famine wiped them out. Really good on the outside, not so much on the inside.

Ken Bondy - 6-1-2013 at 08:32 AM

I use it topically only. Never drink it - intentionally :)

And to the GI system. It's one of natures very fast and efficient laxatives.
Don't drink too much while you're in a wet suit. :o:lol:

Sort of reminds me of how the elder Karamazov went about curing his cold

- with "internal and external applications of alcohol".
