Didn't think this posted as I lost wifi connection earlier. Looking at eebmike now ts is a bit stronger and heading towards Cabo. Ocean water has
warmed up to low 70s w/ small south swell. 10-15mph breeze out of the west but I'm thinking Erick will overpower this flow. Time to batten the
hatches and get supplies; beer & gasoline. Let's hope we get some good rain. Tio

A bunch of "different from normal" steering currents at work. There is a chance of it skewing more to the NNW. Much warmer water there for it to feed
on. Man I hope not...

...another forecaster's description....
''TROPICAL Wx ALERT- Erick has booked his flight to Cabo and will arrive sometime Monday morning. He will likely be a storm instead of a hurricane by
that point but I am of the opinion that he may hang onto the hurricane designation longer than the intensity models think. Regardless, there will be
good surf today through tomorrow afternoon but then conditions will deteriorate and you'll want to get to know the bartender on a first name basis
through Monday night.''DavidE - 7-6-2013 at 01:31 PM
Best to play it safe. I recall having much more problems, damage and inconvenience caused by rain and water than by wind. Of course III, IV and V
monsters are a different story.vandenberg - 7-6-2013 at 02:40 PM
Let's hope GDFL is, like usual correct, and we get some much needed rain.

Models now going further west............but not by much. pauldavidmena - 7-7-2013 at 07:34 AM
Just got to Todos Santos yesterday. I must admit that this was part of the Baja experience I wasn't counting on, but at least we have the day to
stock up on the aforementioned "supplies". BajaParrothead - 7-7-2013 at 11:15 AM

Unfortunate for you pauldavid, they say that the west coast of Baja will get the most from Erick if anywhere does.BajaRat - 7-7-2013 at 01:08 PM

Better be careful that the policia doesn't see those potplants. monoloco - 7-8-2013 at 05:07 AM
Well, we received .22 inches of rain this AM. Wind's still light but appears to be switching right now from NW to E SE. It's currently 71º.Mula - 7-8-2013 at 06:04 AM
Will be watching your reports today.
We are pretty well battened down here in Lopez.
Just got back from a run to San Nicolas. Hotter than blazes there.tiotomasbcs - 7-8-2013 at 06:53 AM
It started raining about 2:30 am. Light to moderate steady rain. No wind, yet. Rain has stopped now as daylight breaks. No loss of power,
thankfully. There appears to be more clouds to the southeast so it may not be finished. Hangin tight, Rat. Hopin we all can share in a little
sweet rain. Small puddles on my dirt entry road. Nice. Tio BajaRat - 7-8-2013 at 07:08 AM
We had a incredible electrical storm last night............ Turned the lights off and watched the show. We're getting an increase in t storm activity
daily with much needed rain. Have fun and be safe. bajajudy - 7-8-2013 at 08:09 AM
We had a sprinkle in the middle of the night that barely wet the ground.
Woke up to dark skies. Just started raining pretty good with very little wind.
Nice rain...straight down.grizzlyfsh95 - 7-8-2013 at 08:28 AM
Just a little windpauldavidmena - 7-8-2013 at 08:51 AM
Here in Las Tunas it started raining fairly hard before 5, but it tapered off around 7. The sun made a brief appearance to the northeast, but it's
been drizzling on and off since then. Radar seems to indicate that the storm will pass the tip of Baja later this morning.bajalinda - 7-8-2013 at 08:55 AM
It rained very briefly and ever ever so lightly here (La Aguja) around 6:30 this morning. Sun is peeking through the clouds now - no wind to speak
of, very still. Just heard from a friend in La Paz that it is raining there, so I'm guessing we'll get some more rain as the day goes on.

Not much more rain after the morning, but the wind picked up briefly around 5:00 as the tail end of Erick passed by. It's still a bit breezy, but the
worst is over - and it wasn't all that bad.tiotomasbcs - 7-9-2013 at 06:28 AM
It fizzled! or drizzled. It's a fine line with these storms. Too big is dangerous and can shred trees & palapas. Small is disappointing but
we'll take 1/4-1/2 inch rain. Calm most of the day with threatening skies and then whitecaps blew in out of the south until after dark. Any more
rain reports?Mula - 7-9-2013 at 08:30 AM
