Good effort, Felix. Thanks.

karenintx - 8-22-2013 at 03:42 PM

If possible, you may be able to call the 800 number on the back of the c/c to advise the bank you found Mr. Brown's cards.

You are a good person Felix...the world needs more like you!

Mulegena - 8-22-2013 at 04:00 PM

Now you're talking, Karenintx.
That should take care of it.

FELIXMG24 - 8-22-2013 at 04:07 PM

Thank you

I tried but from mexico you cannot dial a 800 number to the States.
one is AMEX,MONTANA BANK,and Medicare.
I will find another way to report those.

Regards

Immigration in Santa Rosalia is probably where he was at .... I would presume they would have his address?

Mulegena - 8-23-2013 at 05:32 PM

Good point, Blanca.
You're sure to leave Immigration with empty pockets.

Hope all is well with this person.

Jimmy Christopher of Mulege is the local liason with the US Embassy, btw.
I can put you in touch with him directly, Felixmg. U2U me for contact info.

Since it is delicate, Blanca, maybe another familiar place in Santa Rosalia.

Irrelevant where it was found, but getting these back to the owner or his representative is what matters.

Options 1,2,3: Call the credit card company and speak with a supervisor; contact the Consular representative who happens to live in Mulege; ask Immigration if they can help, again asking to speak with the director, not one of the office personnell.

do the guy a favor...just burn it all...he doesn't really need anything

everything you talk about is replaceable

if its burned no one will use it...or try

burn it? may be replaceable, but sure is inconvenient to replace. may be most convenient if the "finder" can return to the "loser," seems like the "finder" is being a nice guy to try to return it without pyromaniacal urges

DENNIS - 8-24-2013 at 10:39 AM

A few years back, I was waiting in line to an enclosed ATM room at the bank....waiting......and waiting for a couple of young kids to finish with the machine. It went to for a while like they were playing a video game.
They finally came out, stopping at me and asking if their card was right for the transaction, so I looked at the card and it had an Anglo sounding man's name on it, at which time I sailed it out into the parking lot and told the kids to get lost.
Maybe I should have given it to the bank, but my patience at that point was shot.

I love it.

"Where are my cards?"

"Lost, but it's OK. they're all burned to a puddle".

"How do I get money?"

"That's your problem. You shouldn't have put us into this awkward position"

Dial "+" (CC) (area code) (number) and you don't have to enter the 001.

I enter all my numbers like that. Works to call/text to or from MX or any country.

willardguy - 8-24-2013 at 05:30 PM

? my phone doesn't have a "+" ? course it has a rotary dial

FELIXMG24 - 8-26-2013 at 10:46 AM

the cards were seized by the police of santa rosalia to a couple who were arrested for extortion townsfolk.
That is the reason why I wonder if anyone knows this person.
Maybe he was victim of extortion or kidnapped.
I just want to help him.

Lucky you.
OK....you're right. It's worth a try.

Sooo..Felix.....since you mentioned the police seized the cards, how did you end up with them, or hear about them? Maybe they could have turned up the heat on the couple who had them for an explanation.

FELIXMG24 - 8-26-2013 at 02:35 PM

It is a long and difficult story,,,the police have the cards I never say that I have it. I said "CREDIT CARDS,MEDICARE CARD FOUND WILLIAM L. BROWN JR"
I heard about them because this couple was arrested when they tried to extorsion me, so I told the police about them and they pull over them..but guess what??after a few question they let them go....VIVA MEXICO_!
the girl was an ex-police agent.....:!:
so I took the name and the type of cards of Mr. Brown to try to find him...yo never know what can happend...It was a little fishy to me..
I just want to know that he is safe and ok.

DENNIS - 8-26-2013 at 02:47 PM

OK......Thanks, Felix.

bajaguy - 8-26-2013 at 03:18 PM

Try an internet/google search for William L. Brown in Bozeman, MT...........if you had his date of birth, you might narrow it down.

Or sent an e-mail here:

http://www.bozeman.net/Departments-(1)/Police/Contact-Us

And tell them the story. They may be able to help.

rts551 - 8-26-2013 at 03:23 PM

best bet is the bank

bajaguy - 8-26-2013 at 03:28 PM

The bank will not know if he is reported missing, and probably won't notify his family.

For that matter, also contact the US Consulate in TJ
