Tony's Malecon La Paz - Next to the OXXO on the Malecon

Bajahowodd - 10-6-2013 at 04:57 PM

Looks really good. Just hope they are able to make it, inasmuch as there is such stiff competition along the malecon.

Udo - 10-6-2013 at 05:13 PM

WOW!

We'll have to make it a must stop next time in LP.

Udo - 10-6-2013 at 05:14 PM

I forgot to mention...

GREAT looking chicks on the fifth photo...how di you get the models to pose for you???

David K - 10-6-2013 at 05:26 PM

Sorry DK. But La Paz is not in the tropics.

bajajudy - 10-7-2013 at 10:08 AM

The food looks great! What is the dish with some kind of white meat in oil?..lemon? And are those meat balls for a sandwich?

bajajudy - 10-7-2013 at 10:59 AM

That is Scallop Carpaccio (scallop sashimi) in lemon, herbed extra virgin olive oil and drizzled with tequila.

Oh my...my favorite. I was hoping you would say that!

absinvestor - 10-7-2013 at 12:01 PM

The dogs love La Paz too!! LP is special- We adopted the Golden Retriever there in Jan 2011!!

The Tropic of Cancer, which is the demarcation, is actually quite near Santiago.

David K - 10-7-2013 at 05:39 PM

Boy you two... I am sorry but I never said it was IN the tropics:

"Really like La Paz... must be the tropical feel... or the food!??"

We get a tropical feel here in San Diego sometimes... I guarantee you that La Paz feels tropical MORE days!!!

Bubba - 10-8-2013 at 08:20 AM

That's some good looking meal there.

BajaBlanca - 10-8-2013 at 08:49 AM

I will definitely give it a taste when I go down at the end of the month!

Leo - 10-8-2013 at 09:46 AM

Will try it the next time in Lap. just wonder how much the draft is watered down at 15 pesos. Will still go down nice on a hot day with a spicy pizza.

tripledigitken - 10-8-2013 at 12:19 PM

akmaxx,

Do you still own and operate The Shack in La Paz?

Your new restaurant is on our list for our next trip. Best of luck with it!!!

Ken

No affilitation with The Shack

akmaxx - 10-8-2013 at 12:25 PM

Other than I wish them luck.

See you at Tony's.

Peace,

tripledigitken - 10-8-2013 at 12:38 PM

You're a stand up guy for wishing them well.

Thanks for setting me straight on that.

Ken

Don't get your panties in a bunch, DK. As the parser-in-chief of Nomad, you surely can handle a little ribbing. No?

Tony's looks great and we will make sure to check it out next month.

David K - 10-9-2013 at 05:55 PM

Oh, I am fine and dreaming of a return to JESSE's Tres Virgenes Restaurant... and that hot dog cart by BajaTripper's house wasn't bad, either!

Bajahowodd - 10-11-2013 at 04:43 PM

Have had some great meals at Jesse's, but I'll go out on a limb and say that Tony's precios are mucho baja. Forgive the Spanglish.

dtbushpilot - 10-21-2013 at 08:39 PM

Made a special trip to La Paz with my sweetheart today promissing her tapas at a new place. Good thing I didn't show her the pictures before we went, 12:45 pm, no tapas, no customers there, didn't look like the pizza oven was hot yet, pretty dissapointed, did I miss something? Went to Rancho Viejo for tacos....
