Is it unusual for the smoke to linger over land instead of going out to sea? My wife and I will be spending a week in San Pedrito in less than 3 weeks
and hadn't factored in the "ambiance". | The prevailing winds here are offshore during the night, putting the dump directly upwind from San Pedrito. It usually clears out
during the day when the wind shifts to the northwest, blowing the smoke over the town of Pescadero instead. Don't worry, it will be out by the time
you are here, the longest that I have seen it burn is 2 weeks. |
@monoloco - thanks for the quick reply. It's good to know that it will be out by the 18th, which is when we arrive. On the other hand, we are
seriously thinking of moving to the Todos Santos area and have looked in Pescadero and Las Tunas already to try to familiarize ourselves with the
different areas. We really need to be mindful of the fact that we need to get used to the full range of the Baja experience - not just "going on
vacation". |
