Muchas felicidades...again...Udo! We were lucky to be able to celebrate Udo's birthday here in Bahia Asuncion. The day began with Udo preparing eggs
benedict for us...then later we went to Loncheria Mari's where Tomas & Ana Bertha prepared abalone dip, crab canapes, Mexican lasagna and cake of
course.
Juan's band came to liven up the fiesta a bit and we all had a wonderful time. Here is a little taste of the party!

I have not had the pleasure of meeting him yet, but I know and like him very much from his contributions to the Nomad board.Udo - 6-29-2014 at 12:40 PM
Mil gracias for you, Shari, Tomas and Ana Bertha, plus Juan and his band members to make my day feel special!
Juan and his string players snuck in the back door and it turned out to be a total surprise when they came in and started to play.
BTW...it is really nice to finally have fast internet connection her in the US. One of these days I'll find out the CLAVE for one wi-fi hot spot that
actually shows 5 bars on the power meter. Also, when in BA, I HAVE TO use my 10-year-old Windows computer...feel like swimming through a FOSA!

Happy Birthday!Udo - 6-29-2014 at 12:55 PM
BTW...our next trip down, I'll be spending some imd in the kitchen with Ana Bertha, to show her how to prepare some dishes (we ate them at the house).
Once she has the basics down pat, she can then Mexicanize the sauces, plus incorporating the locally available ingredients to make the food work in a
way that works for her.
I'm also helping them in incorporating an outside dining patio, complete with mosquito netting.
They are such great people!
ps. Thanks, Kgryfon!DENNIS - 6-29-2014 at 01:05 PM
