Marie! Scary

chuckie - 8-22-2014 at 02:40 AM

Just checked NHC, and that low has become "Marie". She is projected cat 4 within the next 4 days....Discussion and track are scary....

woody with a view - 8-22-2014 at 05:56 AM

she's a biggie!

we'll just have to be happy to meet Lowell for the next few days. T-minus 1 hour!

Marie, Worth keeping an eye on. Predicted to develop quickly. The computed path models show a tight grouping moving west of Baja but I haven't seen a prediction yet that was correct so I'll watch her closely.

...sounds like a biggie,,but is projected to bring little more than good surf waves(for surfers) and perhaps some precipitation

Its not Maria that bothers me...its that each one (and there has been a bunch) keeps staying further and further to the East. when is the season over? October...November.

Bill Collector - 8-22-2014 at 04:30 PM

November, the season is over

November 30

BAJA.DESERT.RAT - 8-22-2014 at 06:51 PM

Yes, hopefully November 30 ?

text from eebmike, three storms brewing.

The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on recently
upgraded Hurricane Karina located more than a thousand miles east of
the Big Island of Hawaii, on Tropical Storm Lowell located nearly a
thousand miles west of the southern tip of the Baja California
peninsula, and on Tropical Storm Marie located several hundred miles
south of Zihuatanejo, Mexico.

IS THIS HIGHLY UNUSUAL ?

BIEN SALUD, DA RAT
