Just this link, David...way too tired to write a long story again. Besides, it's time to mix some roadies and go goose feed spotting for tomorrow morning. You could probably do a search and find some more.

Pompano

What a link to have in your archives!

I was really enjoying the read about the point... and then the fish story came along!

I live just out of the frame of the pics you posted in the 05 link.

Great being able to look back. Thanks!

Oh, and a big Baja Nomad welcome to you!

If you would like to know how to put an open You Tube in your posts, start with the basic url for the video... here was the one above:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZWsF8yj8H9w

Next remove the: watch?
Next, replace the = with a /
Finally wrap the modified url in tags for video display. In front of the url put [flash=640x480 ] (but without any space after the 480 and before the ] )
On the back end of the url put [flash ] (again with the space).

Hit Preview Post to see if you got it right, and if yes, post the video and any message with it.

cool vid !!

First trip 1974 or 5 stayed at Posada, great memories thanks

Pompano - 10-31-2014 at 05:35 PM

Very nice history of the area...you did a great job and thanks. I have plenty of old 8mm and VHS videos from that Baja time period, too. Watching yours reminds me that IF I ever master putting them into the you-tube format, I'll post them.

Beautiful in any era.

And Pompano, I hope you will!

Yes good old days indeed, when there were only 2 palapas on the beach, and Morante Sr. Came by in the morning and raked the sand around our tent/under palapa.
Later (noon) we played tennis.

I am sorry but somehow removed my original posting but there is another newer one that has a video that says pretty much what said originaly.

Wow David K. thanks for the help with this and I am very happy to share it with all of you as the owner of the material is. She is the daughter of Hal and Wilma Haddan and has many great stories about living in Baja as well as photos and film.
As a side not if you like old photographs and film I have a completely free of charge and advertising museum website where I share this kind of thing with folks. You can download, print or view anything you like in a size you don't need a microscope to see. Please take a look. officeofimagearchaeology.com

Thank you I have a passion for old film and photos. If you ever decide to have the conversion done I have all of the equipment to transfer any old film, 8 or 16mm and about any video tape format but Betamax.
