Shari set your alarm. it doesn't need to go directly overhead to see it. keep in mind that thing is +/- 250 miles up in space traveling real fast and
as long as the sun hits it before it hides behind the earth you can see it.
If the sky is clear, you will see it fine Shari. It is just like other satellites we see passing overhead, just brighter than the rest... moves pretty
fast.bajadogs - 12-27-2014 at 11:34 AM

Woody, thanks for the link. I Changed it to Santa Rosa, Ca. and went out with the neighbors to watch it.
Very Impressive.
It moves too fast to use my telescope to watch it. Has anyone tried binoculars?

6:35 San Diego time tonight. It will fly South/West to South/East. It's clear here in Ensenada right now. From what I understand it will only be
visible for a little more than a minute. danaeb - 12-28-2014 at 07:08 PM
The next "show" for Baja (from Asuncion to Cabo) will be on 12/30 from 5:54 pm at Asuncion, to La Paz at 5:56 pm. I was lucky to see it last night in
San Diego. It was hard to miss. Huge, brightly lit and traveling very fast.
Thanks Bob, here in North County: Mon Dec 29, 5:45 PM 2 min shari - 12-29-2014 at 10:44 AM

if you put in the zip code for Sandy Eggo it will show you the trajectory which can easily be extrapolated (word of the day!) to your location.
