Shari set your alarm. it doesn't need to go directly overhead to see it. keep in mind that thing is +/- 250 miles up in space traveling real fast and
as long as the sun hits it before it hides behind the earth you can see it.

If it is clear at your location you might even have better viewing than us in Loreto.

If the sky is clear, you will see it fine Shari. It is just like other satellites we see passing overhead, just brighter than the rest... moves pretty
fast.

Woody, thanks for the link. I Changed it to Santa Rosa, Ca. and went out with the neighbors to watch it.
Very Impressive.
It moves too fast to use my telescope to watch it. Has anyone tried binoculars?

OH geeze...I set my alarm last night but was serving lobster dinner when it went off and I forgot all about it in the flurry...so tonight is my night.
Plus it sure wasnt very dark then...still lots of lovely sunset light in the sky.

Only visible for 36 seconds tonight (Sunday). Better wait until Monday when it will be visible for 5 minutes and 37 seconds.

Came almost directly over San Jose del Cabo at 6:52pm. Very bright on approach then faded as it passed by.
Hope to get a photo Tues.
