Christmas Trip

fishmaster - 1-20-2015 at 10:45 PM

Greetings,
I drove down with my Wife and daughter. 1st night SD. Second night we spend in Catavina after a nice lunch at Mamma Espinosa's in El Rosario. Catavina was gorgeous...Hiked around the desert for several hours with my daughter. 3rd night we made it to Bahia Asuncion. Beautiful spot on the Pacific Coast, but with the swell running big we didn't try to launch the boat with the family. It would be no problem with a couple guys. They had good fishing while I was there, guys were getting a few dorado, yellowfin and yellowtail. Apparently the sea lion problem there is gnarly and you have to battle for nearly every fish if you are close to shore. I did fish off the beach a few days and caught several corvina, plus hooked something big that nearly jumped before spitting the hook? Spent 2 nights there. Nice beach and 72 degree water. Zoe loved playing in the ocean
Headed to San Lucas Cove after a nice lunch in San Ignancio and a tour of the mission. Spent the next 2.5 weeks there hanging out with friends, fishing, snorkeling, beach combing, eating fish tacos and drinking Pacificos!
Enjoy
Steve

Great! That's what it's all about. I raised three daughters, each 15 years apart. All grown now. Went by so fast.

nice! I always say my final farewell's each time I jump overboard to cool off. if you've ever seen the squid appear out of nowhere you'll understand!

fishmaster - 1-21-2015 at 10:50 PM

Thanks guys...I've posted a few times on here (posted a video report last year too), but mostly a lurker. Not a professional videographer, just been using iMovie for a few years. It is actually pretty easy, just takes a bunch of hours. My daughters' second time to Baja, first time driving down. Hopefully many more in the future! She loves it down here:)

Thanks again for spending those bunch of hours for our enjoyment and I'm very happy that your daughter loves Baja too.

Great video! What music did you use? I really liked the first two songs.

Just don't feed them your private parts

Never mind. I asked Siri.

Siri?

AKgringo - 1-22-2015 at 09:59 AM

For those of us that are still using a Motorola flip phone from 2006, what did Siri say?

Great video, gave me the Baja hunger bad. I loved watching your fisherkid cranking on the fish.

baja43 - 1-22-2015 at 11:00 AM

Thank you so much for the effort.
Gives a whole new meaning to "home movies"

fishmaster - 1-22-2015 at 11:22 AM

first song is Buzzcut Season by Lorde. My daughter got the album...but I like it more now:)
second song is Pumped up Kicks by Foster the People...my daughter loves that song too.
Thanks for all the compliments....but its really not that hard. Check out my other videos on YouTube...I've got several Baja videos and a bunch of fishing ones (around San Luis Obispo, Ca.)
