LOL Yes, just when we hoped for accuracy in numbers...
They are (or were) off by 3 kms. beginning at (or soon after) Km. 167 (where the paving ended for several years south of Gonzaga. This is where they
bumped up three extra kilometers to the markers! Km. 168 got changed to Km. 171.
In any case, three extra kilometers were stuck in, per the video filming of the highway after it was finished, by 'geoffff'.
The Km. marker near the end, at Laguna Chapala, is 201 now but really should be 198. I guess the construction company needed a tip from the taxpayers?
Before the construction of the last segment, they estimated it right on and had a sign that read San Felipe 198 kms. Then in 2018 after a lot of
construction had been done, there was a Km. 200 marker at the junction with Hwy. 1.
Now, it is Km. 201.
Do remember also that 'Km. 0' is 10 kms. south of the San Felipe traffic circle.
Actual distance from downtown San Felipe to Hwy. 1 is 208 kilometers (129 miles).
