Has anyone checked at the local Ford dealership to learn whether the new all electric F-150 will be available there in base contractors' form? Even

Hi Larry: They have a 2-way battery charger that allows you to both charge from your solar system and act as a backup battery supply to power the
average American house for 3 full days of no sun. Cost for my house for that large a backup battery system (120kwh) would be significantly greater
than the cost of the truck.
After further searches of dealerships I see no indications that they will be available in Mexico...yet.
In the US they are oversold and will not be produced in the numbers that are presently pre-ordered for over 1 year.

Hi Tecatero: My system has excess solar from the panels from about 1:30 to 6 after recharging the lithium batteries I presently have installed, so the
power to charge the truck would be essentially free during that period. Overnight I have to watch carefully what loads I apply, so this truck could
take the place of a rather large backup generator running on diesel or propane and in addition provide me with very cheap hauling and local

Read the fine print. Your home needs 320 amp service. Also looks like f150 V2H will only interface with Sunrun solar system/controller.

I did some reading right now as I’m in the market for a new truck soon. First they don’t offer it in 4x4. They mention some separate motor for
each axle,,, but I’m old school, I like 4L when needed. Secondly, and maybe this is wrong so don’t hang me, but it says to get enough solar power
to charge the 80 amp Ford Pro charge station, I’d need 24000W of solar panels and a battery bank to match !,,, that’s a big system. Seems the

Lightning is 4WD. I does not have 4 motors, has only 2 motors, one for front axle, second for rear axle. You don’t need “4 low gearing” when
you got e motors. E vehicles don’t have transmissions like ICE vehicles….

As this particular truck won't be available for me for at least 18 months, I have a lot of time to research. And yes, my system is close to that size
Tecatero, but the lithium batteries are far smaller than they should be for 2 days backup power and that's where the highest costs to expand play out
at present.
I'm excited about the potential of a portable power supply of that size tho, and going to be watching developments closely. 300 km range on any EV
would be more than enough for my purposes.
