Soooo... it is an announcement that they will be asking for bids to widen the highway almost 10 more feet (6 to 9 meters) from Vizcaino to Guerrero
Negro.
I would say it is about time, because back when they made this part of the highway in 1973, they said its narrow width (to finish the project on
budget) would "soon" be widened! 'Mañana' here = Fifty years later... chippy - 9-9-2022 at 06:03 AM
6 to 9 meters is a tad bit more than 10 feet

I read it that they're proposing widening from the current 6 up to 9 (3 more meters, around 10 feet).
I don’t know why you are focusing on the numbers. The only important thing in the article is that the project is funded and the road will be
widened! chippy - 9-9-2022 at 07:21 AM
Honestly, people-- I do not understand this affection for Pacifico (nada más).
The flavor's OK, but it's the only beer I've ever drunk that consistently gives me a headache-- something weird about the formulation, I suspect.

x3 - I know this is off-topic but I gotta say I've tasted some skunky bottled Pacifico. It's at the bottom of my list. Don Pisto - 9-9-2022 at 10:09 AM

you gotta tough it out, its what the baja hipster aficionados drink...but its
gotta be in a bottle!

Having a shoulder in addition to the pavement would be a nice upgrade, but does anyone think they will be hauling in loads of rock to create a
suitable sub-grade?
From what I have seen in other places in Baja, I think that they will likely just use whatever dirt the road is passing through and push it up to
create a soft, unstable shoulder. David K - 9-9-2022 at 10:42 AM
The Baja Fog was a gag reply to Chippy... but since you want to take it to the side bar:
So, you guys like Corona over Pacifico??? GAG ME!
I like most Mexican beers, but Corona is one I have not enjoyed since I was teenager in San Felipe and thought they were great, in 1975.
Dos Equis, Tecate Light are my other favorites, with Pacifico... which is best on tap! Victoria, Bohemia, Modelo, and Mexicali are all okay, too.
