I learned a new term Easter Sunday

I broke down south of Mulege and got towed to the north side of Loreto. Amazingly, the truck driver arranged for a mechanic to "band aid" my Trooper so that I could spend the night somewhere else and return in the morning for an alternator repair.

I had to keep my dog on a leash because of all the dogs that surrounded us. I did not want her to hurt any of them, and sure didn't trust her common sense next to a busy highway!

I commented about the local dogs being blissfully in and out of traffic, and the mechanic told me they were "Perros Carreteros" (sp?).

If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much space!

"Could do better if he tried!" Report card comments from most of my grade school teachers. Sadly, still true!

Pretty funny, though logical.

Unless he was actually saying "perros callejeros" (which is a set phrase)?

[edit] Bummer about the breakdown!
