Malarrimo beach in the past year?

Hi Everyone, our annual Baja trip is coming up in a few weeks, and I am considering trying to make it out to Malarrimo beach since I'll have a buddy with another truck as well. Wondering if anyone has been out there in the past year, after the hurricanes last year. If so, I'd appreciate any info. Am interested in getting in from the turnoff at KM117 (from DK's maps in prior posts).

Thanks in advance for any help!

In 2017, I began the drive north from K117...

... but the road soon began to vanish and I knew it would require more time to drive the 100+ miles (round trip) than I had daylight for. See trip reports from TMW and others who did go there in the past ten years. None recently I can think of.

Yeah I was out there in March and we did something similar to DKs map. We had to run up the beach to the next wash west from where we ended up hitting the beach but it's pretty straight forward.

PM me if you want my track and a bit more beta.

We made this trip in August, had a good time. Previous experience told us to stay off the beach-river mouth, quick sand. Pretty easy going but a lot of vehicle body damage from brush and some under-vehice damage from terrain. A lot of plastic garage throughout which was a disappointment.

Thanks jwheel1970. What route did you take to get out there?
