That was 2 days ago. I shared a photo of the jam on my vivabaja Facebook group. I have not yet heard if it opened up.

Seems pretty sad that a Baja road closure on Mex 1 doesn't get mentioned on "Baja Nomads Road Conditions" if members are aware of it. Maybe I need to
start looking for other sites with active contributors. Would have been a perfect time to display the closure on a "Map". LOL
I'm heading south on Friday and was pondering taking Mex 1 instead of my usual (of late) Mex 5 route.

These protests that close the highway are sort of common, happen in various towns at various times. They are not scheduled in advance, and often last
only a few hours to a day, rarely multiple days.
No one here has a full time forum job to every construction traffic control and protest blockade.

This is a "volunteer" forum... you paid nothing to read the contributions. Do you contribute here with trip reports, photos, stories?
This forum was once a huge community but times change and Nomad hasn't very much, sadly. I keep trying to keep it interesting for some here and hope
more will post stuff.
Facebook is the biggest resource for current reports and more. The beauty of a forum like Nomad over Facebook is the easy to find, stored content and
search feature.
So, please contribute content when you return or while there. Have a fun trip!
