A nasty shorebreak
The ocean can be flat all around it but this place will have this notorious shorebreak-but it is not a surfing beach. The sound of waves "kabooming",
plus the ground tremors, will cause you to dream all night and certain times of the year you'll arise not feeling well rested. It's in the warm zone
and has a pleasant brisa. If you stand on the beach and look out to sea, you'll be facing antartica.
Ever been here?

Looks like the old Cabo shorebreak past the Land's End rocks.....its pretty potent!

The photo is from 1990 and at that time, this beach could be seen as you drove by. (it might still be visible ,but I haven't been there for a few
years).
On summer evenings, local families would come down to the beach to escape the heat in the pueblo and everyone would sit on the steep berm that was
always changing shape because of the waves.
We'd watch the men and boys throw handlines in to those shorepounders and play tug of war with the ocean, and then we'd play Bocci ball until it was
too dark to see. The families would eventually trickle home, and the rest of us would drift back and go to sleep.
Until around midnight when "boom badda boom badda"...
would reverberate from the partyers hanging out at the Retourno. Then we'd put pillows over our heads until they went home around 2am.

I thought maybe you'd get it Jefe! I'm glad to hear the RV park is still there.
Enjoy those orange sunrises and pink sunsets and sit on the beach with your coffee in the morning and feel that warm offshore breeze,would ya?

Will do. And you nailed it about the kabooming all night. It always takes a few nights to get used to it shaking the trailer. I lie awake thinking
about what the surf might be like down the beach at the rock.
After a few nights of settling in we sleep soundly. Saludos!

On some days, the local kids skimboard that place. They're actually quite good! One kid, Jaime, is a world contender! Actually makes a semi-living at
it!

Are the skimmers able to ride on the face of those waves and get in a couple of turns? They must get launched.
That would be fun to watch if it wasn't for the fact that crepitus
(that grating sound and feeling that bones make when they rub together)
gives me the creeps!
