Topo Map PDFs added to show 1684 Expedition route
To help an old amigo plan and perform a mule trip from the San Bruno fort site (15 miles north of Loreto) across the peninsula to the Pacific, beyond
La PurÃsima, I made a set of topo maps at a 1" = 1 km. scale. The red line you see for the route comes from Harald, 4x4abc, who made a KMZ list from
our joint work recently on plotting the first trip across the peninsula by Admiral Atondo, Spanish soldiers, Natives, and Padre Kino, in 1684.
I made this web page about the route and just added links to the PDF topo maps... which can be pasted together if printed, being at the same scale.
The links (in blue text) are next to the satellite image maps of the approx. same area. Other small edits or additions have also been made: https://vivabaja.com/atondo-kino/

Thank you, Lance!
CalTopo has a really easy system, otherwise it would have been quite labor-intensive (for me)! Harald's KMZ of the track that he and I came up with
last year (following Atondo's diary) was invaluable.
Next, I will do a 'book' or webpage of just the Topo Maps, PDF links (for printing maps at equal scale, and jpeg images for casual, armchair viewing.
At least that is my thought, this morning.
