Ejido land grab ??
I'm not sure as to how many people are subject to this or whether the Ejido is within their rights or not but evidently they are kicking people out of
there homes in order to sell at higher prices.
A friends elderly mother , who has been in her Mulege home for decades , has been told she has to move .
This could be part of the same action as on the Serenidad .
Be careful of your real estate transactions. Especially within an Ejido. You may not have the rights to that which the seller sells to you.

An ejido destroyed the Playa Buenaventura Cantina recently... senseless. Such a great place on Bahía Concepción removed by an ejido.

Property (home, shack) on ejido land belongs to the ejido. If renting, tenant has no rights.
Rent a home on ejido owned land, no problem.
BUILD a home on ejido owned land, BIG problem.
Tenants who think they are entitled to the same real estate rights as they have NOB? Clueless. Sucker born every minute.

Of course an ejido is within their rights- foreigners cannot own land near the coast or the borders. Anyone who is under the impression that they
"own" land or a house they can't get a title to and put in a bank trust doesn't understand the law.
On the mainland, the days of "buying" property in an ejido with a Mexican presta nombre are long gone- many people lost what they thought was their
property this way. Any "agreement" you have with presta nombre isn't worth the paper it is printed on- legally the presta nombre is the property
owner. Savvy property buyers know not to give anyone money for an unregularized property they can never get title to.

Just look at the disaster at Punta Banda
Many years ago I bought a lot in La Mision, halfway up the southside hill.
After a lot of research I ended up giving it to a local guy who was a friend
just handed it over, dusted off my shoes and walked away
Life is too short to endure that type of entanglement

I used the word "trumpish" in connection with La Paz facebook groups
don't see any US politics in that
but the last many years have shown me that this group loves to own the libs and loves the current president
type in Hilary, Obama or Biden and you'll see that the admin finds
"Obama, the Former Loser in Chief",
"The Kenyan Marxist, Hussein Obama!"
are ok comments - but "trumpish" needed to be removed
and don't get me wrong - if you want to hammer the liberals, go ahead
I'd rather see your true colors than a fake smile

We looked real hard twice over the last 30 years at building a place in Baja but these words kept us from doing it-
"Never invest more in Baja than you are willing to walk away from"
Renting is so much safer for NOB types.
