Your favorite Baja 'Highway' photos and events....

The Baja blacktop highway is full of great scenes and happenings....what's your story?

This photo is typical of the first 15 years or so of the Baja Highway. You never knew when that road would disappear for awhile! Once, in 1977, I was stranded for 10 days between flooded areas at San Quentin and Rosario..but had a good time with the other 100 or so flood refugees! We played poker, had campfires, sang songs, and received lots of support from the local residents. It was a great part of the entire trip. Although I almost lost my trailered boat when I fnally decided to test the rushing waters...started to swing downriver and I had to scramble a little to bring it out with me. The truck behind me starting giving me an 'Ole!' with his horn...hey, another Baja adventure. It was always a challenge to make that trip back then.

This was near San Quentin a few years later...when the new bridges spoiled all the fun! Now it's a cake-walk.

Pampano we have something in common!!

Talk about a small world. This thread was e-mailed to me already by my brother-in-law. Reggie is my brother-in-law!!! My wife and his wife are sisters.

Now that is truly a coincidence!!

It\'s better down there!
