Tecate Taxi

Are there taxies hanging around the ped crossing at Tecate? , or maybe Uber there? I just need a ride around town for a couple of hours tomorrow. Thanks

None that I saw when I made a Tecate 'visa run' a couple of years ago.

I don't know what your mobility is like, but it is a relatively short walk from the pedestrian crossing to the plaza downtown, and the bus station is about a block from the plaza. You might find a taxi there.

I found that crossing to be very mellow, and the immigration people to be quite friendly. Perhaps they would even call a taxi for you?

Sorry for the late info - I grabbed this screenshot from my Gopro about a month ago on a Sunday afternoon. There were a few circling the area too. I don't think you will have a problem getting a cab.

Thanks everyone, postponed a couple of days, I'm sure I'll find them on the weekend.
